General:
AACE International has one of the strongest scholarship
programs of any professional association. Up to $50,000 is awarded to students
each year. Values awarded range from $750 to $8,000, including specific awards
based on overall scholarship and college accomplishments.
Conditions and Eligibility:

Student must be currently
enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program (second year or higher) and
graduating students must be enrolled for full-time study in the next academic
year.

Student must be enrolled in a
program related to total cost management (engineering, construction
management, quantity surveying, etc)
·
The scholarships are limited to
students enrolled in accredited colleges and universities in
Canada and the United States.
Montreal Section Scholarship Program:
Throughout the years, the Montreal Section of the AACEI has also been active
in awarding scholarships to university students. It is part of our message of
promoting continuing education and encouraging the advancement of cost
engineering and project management.
This year, based on a committee from our Montreal Section board of directors,
we are pleased to announce the award of three scholarships to students from
our Quebec-based universities, ranging in value from $750 to $1,500.
The guidelines for evaluation and selection as set out by our parent
Association, and coordinated with the Montreal Section are outlined below.
Evaluation Criteria:
Scholarship recipients are selected on the
basis of:
1.
- Applicant’s academic
performance (35%)
2.
- Extracurricular activities
(35%)
3.
- One page essay identifying how
cost management affects the student’s future career (30%)
4.
- Deadline to submit
applications: February 15, 2012.
General Notes:

- Complete
applications must include a copy of the applicant’s school transcripts.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.
· -
The scholarship cheques will be made out to the school for the student’s use,
and can be applied only toward tuition, books, supplies and other academic
expenses.
